When a calf is born with a contractedflexor tendon, the fetlock joint is causedto knuckle under, causing seriouslimitation to the mobility of the calf.The BOS calf splint is applied to the backof the leg, with the splint bottom edgeat ground level. With application ofthe splint, the calf should have normalmobility immediately. Remove the splintafter 4 - 5 days.
